About Us

Our journey at Heart Rock Ranch began in the 1960’s when Dick Vestal brought Andy (son #3 out of 6 Vestal kiddos) to the First National Bank of Baird, Texas to sign up for his first loan. This loan was used to purchase “Silencio”, a Brahman cross, to raise for the Fort Worth Stock show.

While “Silencio” didn’t win Andy the big money in Fort Worth, it did teach him responsibility, patience, and work-ethic while creating an environment for him to be surrounded by many positive role-models. This is the experience we believe in at Heart Rock Ranch. It’s about raising cattle with heart and creating memories for families along the way.

Fast forward to where Andy’s daughter, Taylor, took out a loan in preparation to buy her first home with her husband Ray. What do you think she purchased with that loan money? You guessed it right! She used it to buy her first two cows.

Today, the Vestal and Holliday families are continuing the tradition of supporting agricultural education by raising the best club calves for your family to show.
